The Ethno Park " Terzića avlija" is placed
not far away from the center of the village, on a hill, beneath
the beech forest. This garden represents a typical village
garden from the past. There are two old Serbian houses .One
of them is 100 years old and it is built of underdone bricks
and four sides roof with tile called pepper. A family lived
in one house and the other was for guests. During The Second
World War, this house was a school. Hero Petar Radovanović
was a teacher in this school. Today, Pupil's Home and The
Center for Children Without Home are named by his name. There
are a few more buildings in the garden (dairy, shed, a few
new summerhouses and one house from logs where souvenirs are
being sold) and a well, 12m deep, with cold beech forest water
im memory of Gvozden and Milisav Terzić (uncle and brother's
son). The Germans took them with eighteen more men from the
village. They shot and hung them at the entrence of the village.
(the place is called Zlakusa buffer stop). Now there is a
monument in the shape of gallows to remind people on August
18, 1941. Milisav was eighteen. His uncle Gvozden gave him
the houses in a last will, which you can read in " Terzića
avlija". But, destiny wanted to end their lives on the
same day, by the same hand.

The older house is adapted into the apartment with three rooms,
in ethno style in case of village tourism needs. The house
(where was the school, during The Second World War) is a museum.
There are two rooms-one is an ethno room and the other one
has many table showcases and it is planned for exhibitions
with different subjects (for now these exhibitions are planned:
Serbian domestic clothes, old books, old Serbian magazines,
postcards, material from The First World War and from The
Second World War, diaries from wars, old mail, Serbian stamps
and money, stocks of Serbian banks from period of Serbian
Kingdom, Serbian orders, uniforms and domestic clothes in
photos, etc.). There are three summerhouses and the artificial
brook with ponds (about 15 meters long) and with a plenty
of place to sit where you can get refreshment.
On the 17th of July 2005, in "Terzića avlija",
a founding assembly of the Ethno Association "Zavičaj",
was held. The garden was provided for various manifestations
in the open air, such as seminars, meetings of singing groups,
national orchestras, literature evenings and presentations,
art exhibitions, etc; in the cottage which is characteristic
for this area, you can buy souvenirs, postcards, pottery and
various products of national manufacture, and the realization
of the big summer stage where folklore performances and similar
manifestations and concerts will be held is in progress. "Terzića
avlija" offers the possibility of organizing various
small celebrations (up to 100 guests), tourists and other
services.

"Terzića avlija" was founded and rebuilt by the
great-grandson of Gvozden Terzić, the grandson of his nephew
Milovan Terzić, with his family, his wife Gordana, his doughter
Emilija and hi son Dušan. It was Saša Drndarević (he lives
and works in Belgrade) who founded it during 2002-2005, in
the memory of his grandfather Milovan and grandmother Slavica
Terzić, Gvozden and Milisav, as for all the Terzićs in Zlakusa.
The symbol of "Tezića avlija" is the serbian soldier
in the uniform from the First World War and in serbian peasant
shoes. It is made of ash wood (in the natural size, 190 cm
high) by the skilful hand of the young artist Lekić Miladin
and by the idea of the owner of this garden Saša Drndarević.
The symbol and the logo of this ethno park, that represent
"the crossing over the paling", an old hurdle, which
is the part of "Terzića avlija", are based on the
photographs of Saša Drndarević.
